Special Arrangements Made for Leroy Alderman to Give Away His Daughter to be Joined in Holy Matrimony
MONTCLAIR, NJ (December 12, 2016) – Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair hosted the wedding of Endrica Alderman and Roger Stroman Jr – ensuring that one of its residents, Leroy Alderman, could join Endrica’s mother Gloria in giving away their daughter – at its Montclair building Friday, December 9 at 11am. Pastor Dejon Morris of the Bright Hope Baptist Church in Montclair performed the ceremony.
“It was a dream come true for a beautiful couple and a lovely family,” said Jackie Cousins, Administrator at Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair, which provides post-acute care, physical rehabilitation and long-term care services. “We needed to find a way for Mr. Alderman to attend his daughter’s wedding, so we brought the wedding to him.”
The Alderman-Stroman wedding ceremony took place in a private area of the Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair building as the couple was joined by close friends and family. Leroy Alderman, 72, was able to give away his daughter as planned.
